Arab IoT and AI Challenge gives the opportunity to arab youth to come up with ingenious ideas on IoT

Arab IoT and AI challenge is the new platform
for IoT in the MENA region.

Arab IoT & AI Challenge is a regional capacity-building and pre-incubation program for high school students, senior university students, and startups that have innovative ideas in the areas of the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related fields. The Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are considered as the future of industrial progress; the evolution
that will dramatically change how industries work now. Services and Products powered by both will achieve digital transformation making corporates and big technology providers, as well as governments, put significant efforts into developing solutions for their customers, which will allow them to reach new levels of efficiency and optimization to improve their lives, skills and capabilities.

The main objective of the Arab IoT & AI challenge

The main objective is to build a community and an environment that can help our young entrepreneurs take a step further towards achieving their dreams, and encourage them to use their full potentials of innovation and creativity through participating in competitions. Therefore, it is a platform that motivates the Arab youth to cope with technology and to fulfill their dreams. With its innovation camp, where sessions on entrepreneurship,
innovation and design thinking are held, along with technical workshops about IoT & AI, the Arab IoT & AI program offers young Arabs a great opportunity. It also offers them one-to-one meetings with experts and mentors, so as to find guidance on how to develop their business models, ideas and prototypes.

Arab IoT & AI Challenge 2019

The journey started in July, 2018. The challenge took several phases: starting from selecting the best startups and graduation projects at the registration and filtration phase, going all the way through the program and then, finally, choosing the winners.

On December 4, 2019, the Arab IoT & AI Challenge finals started.
The judging process continued over the 3 days of the conference. There were eight teams from different Arab countries and the competition was very intense and inspiring. The teams were from different backgrounds and mentalities, making the judgment criteria very high. And finally go for announcing the winners.
The first winner is Appjad project from palestine, the second winner is XIoT from Egypt and the third winner is Neureno from United Arab Emirates.
