In a significant move to align technological progress with digital safety, the Emirates Safe Internet Society (eSafe), the Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), and Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship (GIE) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at establishing and launching the “Safe AI for Society Initiative.”

This long-term strategic framework aims to build a sustainable ecosystem where artificial intelligence is developed and used in an ethical, safe, and practical manner across the United Arab Emirates. It represents a unified vision for the future, embodying a bridge between civil society, the deep technology sector, and professional academic circles.
His initiative responds to the rapid integration of artificial intelligence into daily life by establishing standards and programs that prioritize well-being alongside technical innovation.

In this context, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Muhias, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Safe Internet Society, stated that the “Safe AI for Society Initiative” is a necessary development for our mission. He added that with the spread of AI and its applications, we must ensure it is safe for our children and beneficial for our society, and this tripartite alliance allows us to move from the awareness stage to work, creating a regulated environment for responsible innovation

Dr. Saeed Al Dhaheri, President of the Robotics and Automation Society, pointed out that this initiative directly supports the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031. Through unifying our efforts, we are creating a comprehensive path to develop talents characterized by technical competence and ethical foundations.

Eng. Tariq Salah El-Din, CEO of Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship (GIE), explained that innovation without safety measures is considered a risk, and safety without innovation is considered stagnation. Our role in this initiative is to ensure that UAE youth have access to the technical infrastructure and guidance to build AI based on principles. We are proud to bring our expertise in the deep technology ecosystem to this vital national cause.

The partners announced that the first milestone of the initiative is the launch of the Safe AI Cup 2026 as an immediate first action. This student competition will serve as a practical testing ground for the initiative’s principles, challenging students to build prototypes and ethical AI solutions for the education sector. The initiative will roll out a series of programs, including student competitions, teacher training, and policy workshops throughout 2026 and beyond.

في خطوة بارزة لمواءمة التقدم التكنولوجي مع السلامة الرقمية، أعلنت كل من جمعية الإمارات للإنترنت الآمن (eSafe)، وجمعية الروبوتات والأتمتة (RAS)، والشركة الدولية للابتكار وريادة الأعمال (GIE) عن توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بهدف إنشاء وإطلاق “مبادرة الذكاء الاصطناعي للمجتمع الآمن”.

يهدف هذا الإطار الاستراتيجي طويل الأمد إلى بناء منظومة مستدامة يتم فيها تطوير واستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي بشكل أخلاقي وآمن وعملي في جميع أنحاء دولة الإمارات.

رؤية موحدة للمستقبل، تجسد المبادرة جسراً يربط بين المجتمع المدني، وقطاع التكنولوجيا العميقة، والأوساط الأكاديمية المهنية. وتأتي استجابةً للدمج المتسارع للذكاء الاصطناعي في الحياة اليومية، وذلك من خلال وضع معايير وبرامج تعطي الأولوية للرفاهية جنباً إلى جنب مع الابتكار التقني.

وفي هذا السياق، صرّح الدكتور عبد الله محمد المحياس، رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية الإمارات للإنترنت الآمن، إن ‘مبادرة الذكاء الاصطناعي للمجتمع الآمن’ تعتبر تطوراً ضرورياً لرسالتنا. وأنه مع انتشار الذكاء الاصطناعي وتطبيقاته، يجب علينا ضمان أن يكون آمنا لأطفالنا ومفيدا لمجتمعنا، وإن هذا التحالف الثلاثي يتيح لنا الانتقال من مرحلة التوعية إلى العمل، وخلق بيئة منظمة للابتكار المسؤول.

وأشار الدكتور سعيد الظاهري، رئيس جمعية جمعية الروبوتات والأتمتة إلى أن هذه المبادرة تدعم بشكل مباشر استراتيجية الإمارات الوطنية للذكاء الاصطناعي 2031. من خلال توحيد جهودنا، وتهيئة مسار شامل لتطوير المواهب يتميز بالكفاءة التقنية والأسس الأخلاقية”

وأوضح المهندس طارق صلاح الدين، الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة الدولية للابتكار وريادة الأعمال أن الابتكار بلا إجراءات سلامة يعدّ مخاطرة، والسلامة بلا ابتكار تعتبر ركود، وأن دورنا في هذه المبادرة يتمثل في ضمان حصول شباب الإمارات على البنية التحتية التقنية والإرشاد لبناء ذكاء اصطناعي قوي ومبني على المبادئ في آن واحد، ونحن فخورون بجلب خبرتنا في منظومة التكنولوجيا العميقة لهذه القضية الوطنية الحيوية.

وأعلن الشركاء أن المحطة الأولى للمبادرة إطلاق كأس الذكاء الاصطناعي الآمن 2026 كأول إجراء فوري لهذه المبادرة، وستكون هذه المسابقة الطلابية بمثابة ميدان اختبار عملي لمبادئ المبادرة، حيث ستتحدى الطلاب لبناء نماذج أولية وحلول ذكاء اصطناعي أخلاقية لقطاع التعليم، وستطرح المبادرة سلسلة من البرامج تشمل المسابقات الطلابية، وتدريب المعلمين، وورش عمل السياسات طوال عام 2026
