CAIRO, EGYPT — April 2026 — SeaPerch North Africa has successfully concluded the 7th Edition of its Regional Challenge, marking a critical milestone in advancing hands-on STEM education and underwater robotics across the region.

The regional finals were proudly hosted in partnership with IVY STEM International School as a hosting partner, organized by the Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship company (GIE), and powered by Underwater Robotics Challenges (UWR).

Moving students from theoretical concepts to operational engineering, this year’s edition witnessed strong engagement across the ecosystem, bringing young innovators together for a dynamic, real-world development experience. Throughout the challenge, students designed, built, and tested their own Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), applying complex engineering principles in a hands-on environment.

• Total Student Participants: 140 from different schools and educational institutions

• Tracks: 3 (Middle School Track: 21 Teams | High School Track: 10 Teams | Open Class Track: 4 Teams)
