Readiness & Match Assessment

A structured assessment designed to evaluate startup maturity, technology readiness, government integration readiness, and pilot feasibility. It helps identify whether a startup, its solution, and a specific government challenge are ready to move forward together by comparing startup needs with government capabilities and highlighting key gaps, risks, and next actions.

Beyond Ideas, Into Impact Β· 9th edition

Is this startup, this solution and this government challenge ready to move forward together?

The assessment separates five questions: how mature the startup is (ABACA/VIRAL), whether the technology works (TRL), whether it can function in the government ecosystem (IRL), whether the startup and the entity can actually run the pilot, and whether this specific pairing is ready. Startups describe what they need; challenge owners describe what they can provide; the system shows the gap.

For shortlisted startups Β· 25–35 min

Startup readiness assessment

Your solution, team, government engagement and pilot requirements on a 1–5 scale, plus a maturity profile, TRL and IRL, and a consolidated risk matrix. Questions adapt to your answers.
For government challenge owners Β· ~10 min

Government readiness assessment

What your entity can provide for a pilot on this challenge: challenge readiness, users, data, technical environment, resources and constraints. It is compared with what each startup needs.

Readiness score

Readiness shown as both claimed and evidenced, so high ratings are backed by evidence.

Match-gap analysis

Startup requirements compared with government availability, resource by resource.

Pathway & actions

One of six decision states, the primary constraint, and separate startup, government and joint actions.

One-page summary

PDF summary per pairing and for the cohort, plus a spreadsheet export and question matrix.
