The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority announced, during a press conference, the launch of the 9th edition of the UAE Hackathon, held this year under the theme “Beyond Idea …. Into Impact”. The announcement highlights the continued evolution of this flagship national initiative since its launch in 2018. 

This year’s edition introduces a renewed vision focused on moving beyond idea generation toward delivering tangible, real-world impact through innovative, implementable solutions that support digital transformation and enhance quality of life across the UAE. The hackathon also features major advancements, including the integration of artificial intelligence tools across all stages, as well as enabling community participation in defining challenges — a first-of-its-kind initiative among government-led hackathons.

In this context, Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GIE) expressed its pride in executing the UAE Hackathon for the sixth time out of its nine editions, reflecting its extensive expertise and continued role in advancing the innovation ecosystem across the UAE and the wider region.

Through its continued involvement, GIE has contributed to evolving the hackathon model and designing integrated innovation experiences that have empowered thousands of participants to transform their ideas into impactful, real-world solutions, in alignment with national priorities for innovation and digital transformation.

On this occasion, Tarek Salah, CEO of Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship, stated:
